J.Mendel never disappoints, and his F/W '08 collection is no exception. His impeccable taste, use of luxurious fabrics and furs, and signature silhouettes, are enough to make you wish you were an uptown girl.
Creating the complimentary beauty look, was none other than (the talented, lovely) Gucci Westman. Using M.A.C Cosmetics, she a opted for a soft, metallic palette that would work on any complexion. The eyes were washed in brown, then highlighted with bronze and just a hint of gold. For the face, it was seemingly bare, with the focus more on contouring rather than rouge. Just a few subtle highlight with Luna (my new obsession...) for a gorgeous glow, then the look was finished with a nude lip (that had a slight sheen). An elegant, yet modern, combination of colors that worked wonderfully with the collection.
To complete the look, Edward Tricomi opted for a classic chignon, with a slightly squared shape. Just that little something took the style from classic/conservative to youthful and modern. A brilliant little twist. I'll be posting more shots of the hair (and a step-by-step guide on how to get the look) soon, so stay tuned.
