An Autumn breeze has finally swept through NYC this week, inspiring me to pull out my favorite wool/cashmere blankets (Yves Delorme and Ralph Lauren have a great selection) from the depths of my closet and re-order my favorite seasonal scents.
Light up a series of Diptyque's Feu de Bois (Firewood) scented candles, mix your favorite cool weather cocktail, and prepare for the Winter chill to come. It's one of my favorite Fall traditions.

I don't know about you, but my skin goes mad with every change of season. It's beyond frustrating.
Each Autumn/Winter, I do my best to moisturize, exfoliate, and masque my way to perfectly balanced skin, but random dry spots have always seemed unavoidable. That is, until now.
I've been using the new RéVive Intensite Fluide Superbe as a spot treatment to relieve dry skin (directly on the area) and as an intensive overnight treatment for my (lip plump addicted) lips. After only one use, my skin feels soft and supple again- it's incredible.
So why not use this miracle potion on my entire face? Well, a) I'm fairly young and have combination skin so it's a bit too heavy, and b) the price makes you think twice before bathing your skin in it! It is expensive but, when used sparingly, this serum is well worth the SRP.

A current obsession of mine, this fragrance smells divine on both men and women.
Initially, the scent of lavender is quite strong (as the name suggests), but then bergamot and musk introduce themselves, only to finish with a subtle rose scent on your skin. It’s all terribly intriguing and quite complex. I’m in love.

If you'd like to get a glimpse of how Parisian women look so effortlessly chic, check out Maje. Judith Milgram's brilliant brand offers the perfect marriage of creativity and subtle sophistication, through her use of modern shapes in classic colors and textures.
Sadly, Maje stores are sprinkled across Paris only at the moment. If you're in North America, seek out independent boutiques (like Flying A in NYC) that carry a few pieces from the collection. It's worth the effort, trust me.
This hydrating body lotion is a must-have if your skin's craving a dose of intense moisture (without the grease).
I didn't expect much from this basic bottle when it arrived, but was quickly convinced of the product's potency after only the first application. My skin instantly felt much softer and has been retaining moisture better than before, so there's been no need to constantly reapply. There's also no heavy fragrance to Body Sleek, which is a bonus if you're sensitive to scent.
So go on, slather yourself neck-to-toe in this lightweight lotion (after a shower/bath for best results) and see for yourself. It's amazing.

Look out for two successful (limited edition) collaborations from a couple of my favorite designers and beauty brands this week...
First off, the Cleopatra-inspired Alexander McQueen (well, Charlotte Tilbury...) for M.A.C collection launches across North America tomorrow (10/4). The overall look may be a bit too dramatic to be worn off the runway, but when used individually, these products are fantastic.
If you can't wait 'til tomorrow to get your designer fix, check out the newly-launched (10/01) Lancome P.S. Kiss lipstick developed for Peter Som by Gucci Westman, Lancome's (genius) Artistic Director. Wear this rich shade of wine to make a bold statement, or just apply sparingly and add a coat of gloss for a fresh Fall look.

Finding a great body scrub can be quite the challenge at times. Some have a great texture but don't dissolve well (so your drain acts up), then others dissolve but leave an oily residue behind that can have you slipping into the splits without warning. A terribly funny, but brutally painful experience (trust me!)...
That's why I've been faithful to my Philosophy Pure Grace Salt Scrub since the moment we met. There's absolutely no mess to deal with, the refreshing 'soap and water' scent never gets tiresome, and my skin is left feeling super soft. What more could a girl wish for?
