In my most inspired moments, I've bought shoes that are better suited for a fine art installation than a walk down Greene Street, but every girl has her limit. The Spring '08 accessories offering has taken creative expression to a new extreme. Think: Heels that are without a heel.
Check out this NY Times slideshow on 'Cruel Shoes'. I find Antonio Berardi's heel-less platforms and Alexander McQueen's interpretation of Japanese Getas (pictured) to be a bit too avant-garde, but I may actually purchase the Chloe and YSL heels featured. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think they're both fantastic.
