I buy/am given so many body scrubs each year and, though I have a few favorites, nothing compares to the fresh scrubs you experience at certain spas. I couldn't get an appointment at my favorite spa this week for a proper scrub down, so I did a bit of (terribly messy) research and the below is, by far, the best recipe I've found. The mixture of citrus, ginger, and brown sugar creates an invigorating scrub that's perfect for summer.
The Recipe (knicked from HGTV.com):
Ingredients-
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup honey
3 Tbs. lemon juice
2 tsp. ginger
Method-
1. Grate fresh ginger, or use the powdered variety if fresh ginger is not available.
2. Mix all ingredients together and place in a jar or container of choice.
3. Take the mixture into the shower with you and apply handfuls at a time to dry skin before showering to polish the skin.
* Note: Should keep for several days in the refrigerator if stored in an airtight plastic container.
Love this recipe!!!!! My skin now feels so soft. One small problem - the scrub smells so good I ate half of it.
